Our seasonal rentals are located in Beaumes-de-Venise, in Vaucluse, 9 km from Carpentras and 38 km from Avignon.
This pretty little Provençal village nestles at the foot of the famous Dentelles de Montmirail and is located near the “Giant” of Provence: Mont-Ventoux (1912 m).
Classified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this massif is an excellent starting point for fabulous hiking, cycling (routes regularly used by the Tour de France) or mountain biking.
The village has preserved historical remains to discover: parish church (16th century), chapel of Notre-Dame d’Aubune (9th and 10th century), prehistoric caves of Ambrosi and Rocalinaud, remains of the feudal castle (12th century), the ancient heart of the village, the ramparts, fountains, as well as its traditions: the olive oil mill (“La Balméenne” olive oil cooperative), the cooperative cellar…
Indeed, Beaumes-de-Venise is renowned for its wines classified as Côtes du Rhône, in particular its famous Muscat which you can taste at Chez Marius, in the shade, at the foot of a tree.
Our vineyard is located on the Wine Route, near those of Gigondas, Vacqueyras or Cairanne or the Côtes du Ventoux. You will find in the region a very large number of cooperatives, estates, tasting cellars and independent producers.
Shops, market and restaurants are less than a kilometer away. Depending on the seasons, you can discover the local specialties such as truffles, olives and their derived products, asparagus, lavender, strawberries, cherries, cartons, candied fruits or the thirteen Provençal Christmas desserts…
